All recovered COVID-19 patients in Hainan released from quarantine

ehainan.gov.cn | Updated: 2020-04-23

South China's Hainan province has cured all of its 162 hospitalized cases of COVID-19, with the last patient leaving Hainan General Hospital on March 24. By April 21, all of these patients had completed a 28-day quarantine period and were free to go.

The island province puts the safety of people's lives and health first, striving to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic, while treating those who were infected by the virus.

It has implemented the "four early" measures, namely early detection, early diagnosis, early treatment, and early isolation, gathering patients, as well as experts and medical resources to save lives. It also carried out the "three separate" policies, namely separating adult and child patients, separating confirmed cases and suspected cases, as well as separating suspected cases from those people who need common healthcare services.

A total of 168 people were infected by COVID-19 during the pandemic, which took six lives in Hainan, while 162 recovered after treatment.
