Hainan reports no new cases of COVID-2019 for 13 days

As of March 3, Hainan has seen no new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) for 13 consecutive days.

After four patients were discharged from hospitals in Haikou, Sanya, and Chengmai on March 3, the island province now only has eight hospitalized patients.

As of March 3, Hainan has reported 168 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with two severe cases, five deaths, and 155 discharged cases. Among the confirmed cases, 39 were in Haikou, 54 in Sanya, 15 in Danzhou, three in Wenchang, six in Qionghai, 13 in Wanning, three in Dongfang, nine in Chengmai, six in Lingao, three in Ding'an, four in Lingshui, seven in Changjiang, one in Qiongzhong, two in Ledong, and three in Baoting. 

A total of 6,263 people in close contact with those infected have been traced, of which 5,985 people have been released from quarantine, while 278 people are still under medical observation.
