Customs helps flower companies resume production, boost exports

Basuo Customs, under the jurisdiction of Haikou Customs, has helped flower companies in Hainan export over 5.5 million flowers worth over $1 million from Feb 3 to 20, when the flower industry entered a critical period in sales.

Due to the novel coronavirus epidemic, domestic flower markets have been facing many problems, such as market shutdowns, sharply reduced demand, and transportation difficulties, which has led to lagging flower sales for planting bases. As a result, the expansion of flower exports has been urgent and crucial to alleviate this predicament.

Basuo Customs contacted the flower production enterprises in its jurisdictions in time to understand their difficulties and needs.
