Hainan reported five new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection on Feb 19, with the number of confirmed cases totaling 168, according to the Hainan Provincial Health Commission.
The five newly added cases were reported to be in Haikou.
Five new patients were cured and released from hospital on the day, with one in Haikou, two in Danzhou, one in Wenchang, and one in Changjiang. As of Feb 19, 84 novel coronavirus-infected cases were cured and discharged from hospital.
As of Feb 19, 5,388 people who had close contact with infected patients had been tracked down. A total of 4,443 people were released from medical observation, while 945 are still under medical observation.
