A strategic agreement was signed between the administration of the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone and Boston Scientific Corporation on Jan 21 to conduct in-depth cooperation in real-world medical equipment data research.
Founded in 1979, the reputed American company specializes in producing medical devices used in interventional medical specialties such as interventional radiology, interventional cardiology, peripheral interventions and cardiac surgery.
Under the cooperation agreement, Boston Scientific's advanced minimally invasive interventional device production lines and experience in real-world evidence regulation and applications will be introduced into the Lecheng pilot zone. The company and the zone will also assist new innovative medical equipment from around the world to enter the Chinese market and explore applications of real-world data in decision making by medical equipment regulators.
