Hainan sees two-way trade of goods jump 40% as of end November

According to Haikou Customs, in the first 11 months of 2022, the total import and export value of Hainan's goods trade was 182.63 billion yuan ($26.24 billion), an increase of 40.1 percent year-on-year. This rate of growth was 31.5 percentage points faster than the national average over the same period, ranking Hainan province third nationwide.

Exports accounted for 64.26 billion yuan, up 116.1 percent, 104.2 percentage points above the national average to place Hainan first overall. Meanwhile, imports grew to 118.37 billion yuan, an increase of 17.6 percent, or 13 percentage points higher than that of the whole country, ranking Hainan eighth.
