Hainan Changjiang promotes rural vitalization through cultural tourism

Wangxia town in Changjiang Li autonomous county, Hainan province built Lihuali Cultural Tourism Town to develop its tourism industry and promote rural vitalization.

In 2019, Changjiang launched the construction of the Lihuali Cultural Tourism Town project. Through tourism supporting services, the construction of characteristic Li villages, and the spread of Li culture, phase one and two of the Lihuali project have achieved positive results.

Since the opening of Lihuali Cultural Tourism Town in Wangxia town in May 2020, the town also has opened nine farmhouses and eight homestays. These venues altogether have received 230,000 tourists, and exceeded 10 million yuan ($1.4 million) in tourism revinue. In 2022, the per capita tourism revenue of the township will exceed 2,000 yuan.

The construction of Lihuali's third phase includes the Shili Gallery viewing platform, the Nanrao River sightseeing wharf, the recreational vehicle camp, the mobile Li bookstore, and other projects.
