The 2022 China Space Conference and the 2022 Wenchang International Aerospace Forum are being held in Haikou and Wenchang, in South China's Hainan province, from Nov 21 to 24.

They are set to bring together leading experts and scholars to discuss cutting-edge issues in aerospace, release the latest scientific issues and technical problems facing the industry, showcase China's most recent achievements in space, promote wider international exchanges and cooperation, and help build China into a space power.

The China Space Conference is a comprehensive and influential industry event on an international scale. It is jointly sponsored by the Chinese Society of Astronautics and the China Space Foundation. It has been held four times since 2018 in Harbin, Changsha, Fuzhou and Nanjing, respectively.

It has achieved the goal of building an international and professional exchange and cooperation platform integrating academic forums, industrial dialogue, cutting-edge exhibitions, event roadshows, cultural and creative experiences, and popular science activities, as well as serving as an important window for the world to understand China's aerospace industry and developments.

The opening ceremony and main forum will be carried out both online and offline, as will the international, academic, industrial, cultural and youth forums. These, coupled with a range of cultural activities and other events aimed at making science more popular, as well as numerous exhibitions, will offer up a rich academic feast.

During the conference, Haikou will hold the United Nations/China 2nd Global Partnership Workshop on Space Exploration and Innovation. The purpose of the seminar is to promote international exchanges and dialogue, and practice the concept of win-win development in space cooperation.

At the same time, it will reflect China's important contribution to promoting global space exploration and innovation, further enhance China's international influence in aerospace, and help the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.
