Hainan attends 2022 CAEXPO Tourism Exhibition

From Sept 19 to 21, Hainan attended the 2022 China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition, which was held at the Guilin International Conference and Exhibition Center in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

Co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the government of the autonomous region, this year's exhibition attracted more than 300 institutions and enterprises from nearly 50 countries and regions, as well as over 20 Chinese provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities.

With the theme of "All the sun, all the fun", the Hainan Pavilion, covering an exhibition area of 150 square meters, featured highlights of the free trade port such as information about its offshore duty-free policies. Other key categories of Hainan products on display were tourism products such as oceans and beaches, medical tourism and health care, sports, culture, rural living, and destination weddings.

At the exhibition, visitors were able to experience Hainan's unique tropical landscape and ethnic customs, and visit the displays of local products, such as Baisha green tea and Mushan coffee.

On Jan 1 of this year, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement came into effect. One week later, the Hainan Provincial Government promulgated a twenty-item action plan for local implementation of the RCEP.

According to an official of the Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism and Culture, Radio, Television and Sports, Hainan participated in this year's to show domestic and foreign exhibitors and visitors the achievements which have already been made in the FTP construction and present its image as an international tourism consumption center, which will promote the overall recovery and sustainable development of the tourism market.
