Notice on guaranteeing transportation services for stranded travelers to airport in Haikou

Foreign Affairs Office of Hainan Province | Updated: 2022-08-18

In order to ensure the orderly departure of travelers stranded in Haikou due to the pandemic, in accordance with the deployment of the Hainan COVID-19 Prevention and Control Headquarters, it has been decided that starting from 6:00 am on Aug 17, 2022, the "1+3" diversified model will be adopted to guarantee transportation services for travelers to go to the airport during the static management period.

I. Bus guarantee. Fourteen dedicated airport lines will be arranged in the city. During the static management period, the bus operation time is from 6:00 to 22:00 at 20-minute intervals. The stranded travelers can take the bus free of charge with their flight ticket purchase information. After the static management is lifted, the travelers can take a regular bus or choose other transportation vehicles to go to the airport.

II. Online car-hailing guarantee. During the static management period, the cars in service will be allowed to travel to and from the downtown area and the airport with stranded travelers' flight order information. Travelers can make reservations through online car-hailing platforms.

III. Hotel shuttle guarantee. Qualified hotels can arrange their own vehicles to send the stranded travelers in the hotels to the airport with valid vehicle passes.

IV. Private car guarantee. The stranded travelers living in the homes of friends and relatives can be sent to the airport by the private cars of the householders, and the owners of the cars can go to the airport with the travelers' flight ticket purchase information (for the return trip, the screenshot of the ticket information will be needed). The allowed road traffic time will be from three hours before flight departure to one hour after departure. The cars are only allowed to carry travelers with purchased tickets.

V. During the static management period, the city has set up road traffic checkpoints for ticket and order information checking, so please schedule your travel properly (reserve time for checking) and prepare ticket or order information in advance for checking to avoid any delay on your trip. If you have any questions, please call the hotline: 12345 government service hotline, 66663066, 68620125, 68724445 for details.
