RCEP member countries show strong interests in Hainan expo

Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) member countries like Japan, South Korea, and Malaysia have shown strong interests in the second China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE), which will be held in Haikou, South China's Hainan province from July 26 to 30.

The exhibition will feature more than 1,600 brands from 61 countries and regions, covering a total exhibition area of 100,000 square meters, an increase of 20,000 sq m compared with the first session, organizers announced at a press conference held on July 20.

The international exhibition area will be 80,000 sq m, accounting for 80 percent of the total exhibition area. Among this, the exhibition area of RCEP member countries will be 5,000 sq m, which has attracted exhibitors from Australia, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam to participate in the expo.

Among those, 31 Japanese exhibitors with 230 brands have confirmed their attendance. Well-known brands like Fancl, Shiseido, and Kose will display products covering alcohol, health care products, aromatherapy, and food in an area spanning more than 3,147 sq m.

Seventeen South Korean exhibitors will bring 73 brands, including Goldendew, Laneige, Sulwhasoo, Dr.Jart+, and Astell&Kern, displaying products covering jewelry, fragrance, health care, outdoor sports, and electronics in a 397-sq-m exhibition area.

Twenty Australian companies will showcase 59 brands in the medical and health care, dairy, alcohol, fragrance, clothing, as well as luggage sectors in a 633-sq-m exhibition area.

There will also be 10 Malaysian exhibitors putting 12 brands on display in an exhibition area of 342 sq m.

In addition, eight Thai exhibitors will showcase 17 brands, including Red Bull, Jerhigh, Annabella, and Mistine, covering food, pet supplies, spa products, fragrances, and hairdressing products in an exhibition area of 468 sq m.

Singaporean brand OSIM will hold new product launch events for several products, including new models of e-sports and stress relief chairs.

There will be four exhibitors from Vietnam with 15 brands, covering the food, beverages, and fragrances sectors, in a 102-sq-m exhibition area.

During the expo, Hainan will give a further introduction to Hainan Free Trade Port policies, expand trade and investment promotions for RCEP countries, as well as welcome more RCEP enterprises to the Hainan FTP.
