2022 world NEV congress to be held in Haikou

The 2022 World New Energy Vehicle Congress (WNEVC) is set to be held in Haikou, capital of South China's Hainan province, from August 25 to 28, according to officials at a press conference held by the China Association for Science and Technology on June 30.

Focusing on full electrification and global cooperation under the carbon neutrality vision, the event will invite over 1,500 government officials, experts, as well as company representatives related to the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry across the globe to share their insights through discussions. Germany will be invited as the guest of honor to share experiences in industrial cooperation.

The three-day event is expected to contain 24 conferences in various forms, including plenary sessions, thematic forums, and technical seminars. The technical exhibition will cover a total area of 10,000 square meters, demonstrating cutting-edge technologies and products across NEV-related sectors like NEVs, electric vehicle batteries, driving motors, hydrogen fuel cells, automotive chips, energy supply, as well as supporting facilities. Other activities include selections global NEV technologies and NEV driving tours.

As the fourth edition of the WNEVC, the 2022 congress strives to further deepen international exchanges and cooperation, accelerate innovation of key technologies and breakthroughs in industrialization, strengthen the coordination of the NEV industrial chain, as well as develop a new ecosystem of the automotive industry.
