The emblem, slogan, venue, and mascots of the 6th Sports Games of Hainan were released at a press conference held on June 11. The sports games will be held in Danzhou from August 19 to 30.
The main shape of the emblem is composed of the Arabic numeral "6", the initial letter "H" in Hainan, and the initial letter "D" in Danzhou, which symbolizes that the 6th Sports Games of Hainan will be held in Danzhou. It also incorporates elements like waves, seagulls, and torches, which symbolize the high-quality development of Danzhou and Yangpu in the context of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

The mascots of the Games, named "Dandan" and "Yangyang," are inspired by Diaosheng, a local folk tune of Danzhou, where the Games will be held. Diaosheng has been recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage item in China. The male and female cartoon images are designed to convey the distinctive local culture, as well as the sports spirit of unity, endurance, and public participation.

The slogan of the games, "Wonderful Provincial Games, Charming Danzhou," means that the games will be wonderful and charming, showcasing the unity and enterprising spirit of the Hainan people. It will take place at the Danzhou Sports Center. After the event, the venue will continue to host sports events and activities.

This year's Games will include public events and competitive sports. Among them, there are 36 competitions in traditional, fun, and ethnic sports categories, which are scheduled to be held in Haikou and Danzhou from July 11 to 31.
