Hainan adds 10 COVID-19 cases on April 5

Hainan reported 10 new COVID-19 cases and 22 asymptomatic infections on April 5, according to the Hainan Provincial Health Commission.

There was one COVID-19 case in Haikou and nine cases in Sanya. The 22 new local asymptomatic cases were all reported by Sanya. Among the 32 total cases, 16 were found in community screening, 14 were detected in centralized isolation site screening, one was found in risk group screening, and one case was transferred to a confirmed case from an asymptomatic infection.

From March 29 to April 4, Hainan province has reported 33 local confirmed cases, including 10 in Haikou, 14 in Sanya, two in Danzhou, five in Qionghai, one in Lingshu, and one in Wanning. The province has reported 58 local asymptomatic cases in total, including 53 in Sanya, three in Haikou, one in Qionghai, as well as one in Wanning. In addition, there was one imported asymptomatic case in Qionghai.
