A stunning drone light show was staged in Wanning, South China's Hainan province on Feb 21 to celebrate the breakthroughs achieved by Chinese athletes at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
A total of 1,000 drones appeared in the night sky, constantly changing shape to gradually form the images of Chinese Olympic athletes like Su Yiming, Xu Mengtao, Gu Ailing, Gao Dingyu, Ren Ziwei, and Wang Meng. The 21-minute show was critically renowned by audience on site.

The Chinese delegation had the best results in its Winter Olympics history winning nine gold, four silvers, and two bronze medals during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
As a coastal tropical island, Hainan has no ice and snow sports, but is rich in water sports resources. Wanning was specifically selected to host the drone show as it is a world-renowned surfing resort. The Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism and Culture sent an invitation to all Winter Olympic athletes, welcoming them to experience the fun of marine sports and feel the charm of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
The drone light show was organized by the Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism and Culture and undertaken by Hainan Yifei Technology.
