On Feb 15, the tourism and culture departments of Hainan province prepared various tourism and cultural activities in celebration for the Lantern Festival for citizens and visitors.
In Sanya, the Sanya Paddy Field National Park held a lantern exhibition with the them of "Wonderful Night of Paddy Fields", Sanya Haichang Fantasy Town hosted a glowing float parade, and the Sanya tourism promotion Bureau did a Guofeng fate in Sanya Lanhai Shopping Plaza. In Haikou Lantern Festival pop-up performances brought a surprise experience to citizens and tourists. The Haikou Clock Tower light show presented a visual feast for spectators.
Furthermore, Hainan's major libraries and museums also carried out various cultural activities, inviting locals and visitors to experience the charms of traditional culture in a festive atmosphere.
