Three places in Hainan province, namely the Cai Clan Residence Cultural Tourism Zone in Qionghai, Hainan State Farms Museum and Wanning Xinglong Coffee Valley, were all awarded as national overseas Chinese international cultural exchange bases, according to a recent announcement by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (ACFROC).

Hainan's three selected bases have expressed that they would strengthen the construction of their exchange bases, give full play to their roles as exchange bases, organize a variety of activities, and make contributions to the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port and the conservation of overseas Chinese resources.
