Themed around "sunshine Hainan, holiday paradise," Hainan arouse attention at the 2021 China-ASEAN Expo tourism exhibition, which was held in Guilin, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region from Oct 15 to 17.
This year's tourism exhibition adopts both online and offline platforms, attracting tourism organizations and enterprises from 50 countries and regions from around the world and 15 domestic provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities to participate.
In addition to promotional videos and pamphlets showcasing the island's exceptional natural tourism resources and the preferential policies of the Hainan Free Trade Port, the Hainan booth also featured the creative local cartoon coconut Bobo Yeah to interact with visitors through Hainan's tourism quizzes, games, and lottery activities.

During the exhibition, the Hainan booth attracted over 2,000 visitors and gave out more than 8,000 promotional pamphlets as well as won the most creative exhibition prize from the Expo committee. This exhibition was also a great warm-up for the coming Hainan International Tourism Island Carnival, which will kick off on Nov 19.
Since ASEAN countries are an important source of inbound visitors for Hainan, this exhibition was a great opportunity for the province to promote itself to the region, and boost the sustainable development of the China-ASEAN relationship.
