Nighttime tourism flourishes in Hainan during Golden Week

Nighttime tourism boomed in South China's Hainan province during the National Day holiday from Oct 1 to 7.

The Qilou Old Street in Haikou, capital of Hainan, wooed visitors with immersive light and shadow shows. Mission Hills Huayi Brothers Feng Xiaogang Movie Town offered a "time traveling" experience through archaistic architecture, folk performances, and vintage clothing for people to try on and take pictures.

The Atlantis Sanya's Aquaventure Waterpark prolonged its opening time to 9 pm from Oct 1 to 6 and treated visitors with flyboarding and fireworks shows. Sanya Haichang Fantasy Town also staged flash mobs and float parades during the holiday. Many nature lovers visited Luhuitou Scenic Area to admire the sea and sunsets.

Night markets in Haikou and coastal bars in Qionghai also attracted flocks of visitors by offering a wide variety of food and drinks.
