Hainan has adjusted the COVID-19 prevention and control measures, according to a notice issued on Aug 19 by the Hainan's COVID-19 prevention and control headquarters.
1. At the airport and other checkpoints, those returning to Hainan who have visited epidemic-related areas in the past 14 days should provide two negative nucleic acid test certificates within 48 hours, and the two certificates need a 24-hour interval.
2. Key public places will not inspect the itinerary trajectory, but will retain the inspection of health codes. The low-risk areas don't require the inspection of health codes. People needn't sit separately in confined spaces such as theaters, but the flow of people should be controlled.
3. The local government has canceled the suspension of holding gatherings or events with more than 300 people. But while holding such events, please try to control the amount of people and establish a personnel information database. In principle, people who have stayed in high-risk areas and epidemic-related areas in the past 14 days shouldn't attend events or gatherings. Weddings and funerals are advocated to be streamlined, and the organizer no longer needs to report to local community authorities.
4. People leaving Hainan no longer need a 48-hour negative nucleic acid test certificate, except for those going to Beijing.
