All passengers entering the Haikou Meilan International Airport will have to show a negative nucleic acid test result and a green health code starting from 6 am on Aug 6, according to a notice from Haikou's pandemic prevention headquarters.

The green code should be a Hainan Health Code or the Epidemic Prevention Health Information Code launched by the national integrated government service platform. The negative nucleic acid test result provided should be within 48 hours.

All passengers must wear a mask and take their temperatures before entering the airport. For passengers who are unable to obtain a health code such as the elderly, children, and those who already hold a valid negative nucleic acid test result, should apply for a family health code.

The airport reminds travelers to prepare their nucleic acid tests and green codes in advance and arrive at the airport at least three hours in advance.

Those who are unable to depart on time due to the failure of providing a valid negative nucleic acid test result can apply for refunds with their respected airline.
