During the third session of the 13th National People's Congress, the Hainan delegation to the NPC submitted a total of four motions and made 45 suggestions - all of which had received positive responses from national ministries and commissions.
During the session last year, Hainan submitted four motions in the name of the delegation and raised eight suggestions in the name of the delegation and 37 in the name of individual NPC deputies.
Among the 49 motions and suggestions, 16 were related to free trade port construction, reform and opening up, innovation, entrepreneurship and industrial promotion; 10 focused on education, science and technology, healthcare, social security and people's livelihood issues; 11 centered on legislative proposals and law enforcement; 10 were concerned with environmental protection and rural revitalization; and two focused on other matters.
The Hainan delegation received active responses from government bodies like the legislative affairs committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the ministries of finance, education, transport, natural resources, agriculture and rural affairs, and water resources.
