The 23rd China (Hainan) International Tropical Agricultural Products Winter Trade Fair will be held at Hainan International Conventional and Exhibition Center in Haikou from Dec 18 to Dec 22, according to Hainan Daily.

With an exhibition area of over 100,000 square meters and 10 exhibition zones, this edition of the trade fair is the largest one yet. To date, over 100 enterprises from around 30 countries and regions have registered for the fair, while 2,000 domestic enterprises from 21 Chinese provinces will also be present. The total number of exhibitors will exceed 5,000.

Various events will be held during the trade fair, including news conferences, promotion events for Hainan local products, a contract signing ceremony on online agricultural product purchases and investment, the Hainan Free Trade Port and Tropical Agricultural Summit, as well as the 2020 Boao International Summit of Rural Revitalization and Beautiful Villages and the Agricultural Products Production and Sales Cooperation Forum (Hainan). Other highlights include an innovative cooking competition of Hainan local agricultural products, as well as special influencer marketing activities.

Taking advantage of the favorable policies of the Hainan Free Trade Port and the island's unique geographical advantages, the trade fair will build a platform for international trade and cooperation for tropical agricultural products.  A "Belt and Road Pavilion" will showcase high-quality agricultural products from the countries along the Belt and Road, boosting exchanges and trade in international tropical agricultural products.

Organizers have made full preparations to implement COVID-19 prevention and control measures at the upcoming fair, which will only be accessible to professional buyers on Dec 18, and then open to the public from Dec 19 to 22. Exhibitors coming from moderate- and high-risk regions should provide the results of nucleic acid tests taken within seven days. All are required to wear masks during the fair.
