China-Israel Technology Innovation Forum commences in Sanya

The China-Israel Technology Innovation Forum was held in Sanya on Dec 16, attracting representatives of nearly 100 domestic high-tech enterprises and 51 Israeli enterprises to discuss the development opportunities of the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP), as well as to promote the settlement of Israeli and domestic technology companies in Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City.

Bao Hongwen, acting mayor of Sanya and director of Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City, spoke at the forum. He stressed that in recent years, Sanya has implemented various policies and measures, as well as promoted institutional innovation to develop the tourism, modern service, and high-tech industries, optimizing its business environment and ecology environment.

Bao expressed his hope that Sanya's good investment environment and development prospects can be showcased at the forum to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Israel.

He added that Sanya warmly welcomes more Israeli companies and talents to visit the city to explore negotiation, investment, and development opportunities. 

The city will make every effort to create a legal, international, and convenient business environment to provide high-quality services for enterprises to invest in Sanya.

At the forum, Dan Shechtman, a Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry, Dr. Evelyne Yehudit Bischof, a famous medical expert, and Lin Danming, vice president of Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, delivered keynote speeches.

The Sanya Investment Promotion Bureau and the Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Administration detailed the urban industrial development, business environment, and policy advantages to entice high-quality international companies to invest in Sanya.

Five representative companies from China and Israel signed contracts at the forum, involving cooperation in areas like artificial intelligence, biomedicine, education, and agricultural irrigation, aiming to promote the interconnection of economic and trade cooperation between Sanya and Israeli companies, as well as to accelerate the advancement of the construction of Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City.
