Chi Yun, a young film actress and screenwriter, was invited to serve as the charity ambassador of the 3rd Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF), which is committed to drawing attention to Hainan's film industry and helping the province's poverty alleviation efforts through public welfare initiatives.

Co-sponsored by China Media Group and the People's Government of Hainan Province, the 3rd HIIFF will be held in Sanya from Dec 5 to 12. After successfully holding its first two editions, HIIFF has become one of the hallmarks of Hainan's foreign cultural exchanges. This year, it will be presented to the public with a new attitude of full openness to promote the continuous development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

Held last year, the 2nd HIIFF invited filmmakers to participate in charity projects in impoverished areas of Hainan, bringing attention to these public welfare initiatives.
