A business delegation led by Natenapa Kongsri, consulate general of Thailand in Guangzhou, paid a visit to Hainan and met with the Hainan International Economic Development Bureau (IEDB) on Nov 2.
During their meeting, the Hainan IEDB introduced the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP) policies and investment opportunities, as well as invited Thai companies to make full use of the policies and invest in Hainan. Officials also said that Thai companies were also welcome to participate in the China International Consumer Products Expo.
The Thai government pays great attention to the development of the Hainan FTP and hopes that both parties will work together to strengthen communication, as well as promote in-depth cooperation between enterprises in the tourism and modern service industries, according to Kongsri.
Thailand is looking forward to the first China International Consumer Products Expo and it will organize high-quality consumer goods brands to participate in the exhibition. It also hopes to use the platform to promote Thai brands, as well as strengthen economic and trade exchanges between Thailand and Hainan, she added.
