The finals of the 6th Hainan Province Innovation Entrepreneurship Competition were held in Haikou on Sept 9, with 28 projects vying for prizes.
The smart bedside table designed by Hainan Chuangxing High Technology won the first prize under the Growth Group, generating a reward of 300,000 yuan ($43,920) for the company. The implant consumables and treatment method for joint repair garnered the first prize under the Start-up Group and a reward of 150,000 yuan.
Since the Hainan Province Innovation Entrepreneurship Competition was launched in August, it has received a warm response from both domestic and overseas entrepreneurs. A total of 540 enterprises, 30 of them foreign-funded, attended the event.
The competition is aimed at bridging innovative achievements, technology and capital, cultivating more innovative enterprises and teams and helping science and technology enterprises grow bigger. It also seeks to contribute to Hainan Free Trade Port construction.
