Hainan FTP boost trade, cooperation with five countries

The Hainan International Business Council signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with five business associations of Chinese-funded enterprises in the United States (US), Brazil, South Africa, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Saudi Arabia on July 14.

According to the MOU, the China General Chamber of Commerce – USA, the Brazilian Association of Chinese Companies, the South Africa China Economic and Trade Association, the Chinese Business Council in the UAE, and the Contact Office of Chinese Companies in Saudi Arabia will cooperate with the Hainan International Business Council in information sharing, conventions and exhibitions, as well as trade and investment promotion.

The representative of the associations said that they will help US, Brazilian, South African, UAE, and Saudi Arabian products enter the Chinese market under the preferential policies of the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP), as well as encourage major enterprises to invest in the Hainan FTP.

In addition, they will call upon overseas business associations, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to register at the Window to Global Trade. They will also organize enterprises to take part in the 1st China International Consumer Products Expo.

Prior to this, the Hainan International Business Council had already inked MOUs with business associations of Chinese-funded enterprises in Singapore, Japan, South Korea, India, Uzbekistan, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Denmark, and Portugal.
