The total amount of prizes for winners of the Golden Coconut Awards of the third Hainan Island International Film Festival will reach 930,000 yuan ($141,470), according to the event's organizers on July 10.
Committed to promoting international film cultural exchanges and cooperation, as well as boosting the prosperity of film creation, the Golden Coconut Awards will be granted to excellent works in different categories selected by a jury of film industry professionals from across the world.
Awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Special Jury Prize, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenwriter, Best Artistic Contribution, Best Children's Picture, Best Documentary, and Best Short Film have been set up.
