A 10-member medical team from China, which departed on June 8 from Haikou, Hainan province, returned to the tropical island on June 22 after successfully completing its mission of enhancing COVID-19 prevention and control efforts in Bangladesh.
The team was set up by the National Health Commission and its members were chosen by the Hainan Provincial Health Commission.
The China Medical Expert Team to Bangladesh shared experiences with their Bangladeshi counterparts, as well as provided COVID-19 prevention and control guidance and treatment trainings, successfully completing the anti-pandemic work in Bangladesh, while promoting exchanges and cooperation in COVID-19 prevention and control between both countries.

As of June 21, the expert group visited 11 medical institutions, held 41 meetings, organized 13 training sessions for nearly 600 people, in which more than 5,000 people watched the online trainings. They also conducted 13 technical guidance sessions, as well as received five media interviews.
Since returning to China, the expert group has gone to the designated places for medical observation and quarantine.
