The first service stations for Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese talents and enterprises were launched at five key industrial parks in Hainan province on June 3 to provide consultation and guidance in investment and entrepreneurship.

The service stations are located in Haikou Jiangdong New Area, Bo'ao Lecheng International Medical and Tourism Pilot Zone, Yangpu Economic Development Zone, Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City, as well as Hainan Resort Software Community. They will help industrial parks attract high-quality projects of overseas talents and scientific research teams based on a database of Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese talents.

In addition, the service stations will strengthen the connection with Hainan communities abroad, promoting policies related to the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP), offering business consultation, as well as boosting cultural and tourism exchanges with them.

There are now 3.9 million overseas Hainan natives in more than 60 countries and regions worldwide, of which 400,000 are in Hong Kong and Macao, and 3,000 are in Taiwan. The island province is home to more than 1,500 Taiwan-funded companies, according to an official of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee.

The establishment of service stations will facilitate the daily lives, work or entrepreneurship of Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese in Hainan. It will also boost the development, as well as scientific and technological achievement transformation of their enterprises for a prospering FTP.
