A memorandum of understanding for business cooperation was signed on May 12 between Hainan and the Secretariat of the Boao Forum for Asia to further strengthen their partnership.
According to the memorandum, the Boao Forum for Asia will establish a permanent office in the city of Haikou, which will mark the first office of an international conference organization with global influence to settle in China's island province of Hainan.
The two sides will jointly build a platform to enhance contact and coordination capabilities to better carry out the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference, the Boao Forum for Asia Global Tourism Forum Conference, and supporting activities, as well as the construction of Boao's infrastructure and promotion of business investment.
