Hainan reports one asymptomatic case on May 11

China's island province Hainan detected one confirmed case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), which is asymptomatic on May 11.

The patient surnamed Wen is a 67-year-old native of Wuhan, Hubei province. He is a longtime resident of Ding'an county, Hainan. He was in Wuhan from Jan 23 to April 7, and returned to Ding'an from Wuhan on April 8. The nucleic acid test he took was negative on April 8.

He returned to Wuhan on May 5 and was on flight CZ6537 (seat number 36A) from Wuhan to Haikou on May 10. After arriving at Haikou Meilan International Airport at 11:00 am, he was quarantined at a hotel and took a nucleic acid test. His positive test result come out on the morning of May 11.

At present, epidemiological investigations have been carried out as required, and the investigation of personnel who had close contacts with the patient are being traced.
