A photography exhibition to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia opened in Sanya, Hainan province on Dec 10.
The exhibition is one of the main activities of the Russian Culture Week, which kicked off on Dec 9 to enhance the province's exchanges with countries along the Belt and Road.
A total of 70 photos from 1950 to 2019 are on display, covering the topics of high-level exchanges, economic and trade cooperation, non-governmental exchanges, as well as cultural exchanges between China and Russia.
Sergey Mikhaylov, director general of Russia's TASS News Agency, said that art is a bridge for friendship between the people of Russia and China.
In recent years, non-governmental exchanges between Russia and China have become increasingly frequent, noted Mikhaylov, adding that the exhibition in Sanya would be one of the wonderful cultural exchange activities between the two countries.
