More than 1,000 young tourists from over 70 countries had a good time taking part in outdoor games, water sports, and a music festival at a youth carnival staged on Dec 7 in Lingshui Li autonomous county in southeast Hainan.
The three-day Forth Hainan International Tourism Island Lingshui Youth Festival integrated sports, tourism, cultural experiences, and competitions, offering young people products and services that are fun and meet their demands, according to Li Yu, an official from the Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television, and Sports while addressing the audience at the opening ceremony.
According to organizers, the Lingshui event is expected to further the island province's international tourism consumption, as well as increase Hainan's global exposure and attract more international tourists to Hainan.
