In addition to obtaining updated information on the latest development of the global film industry through exhibits, visitors can also enjoy a hand-drawn poster show to get a glimpse into China's filmmaking history during the ongoing Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF).

A total of 130 hand-drawn posters were put on display at the H!Market Exhibition, one of HIIFF's highlighted components, which opened on Dec 2.

As a calling card for China's movies, these posters feature a variety of artistic expressions. Through words and colors, the hand-drawn posters not only have their own unique artistic value, but have also borne witness to China's movie poster development, showing the integration of traditional Chinese culture with foreign arts.

"When you see these posters, you will immediately think of those classic characters and lines in the movie, and instantly relive childhood memories," said an exhibition attendee surnamed Zhang, who also bought tickets to watch films at HIIFF.
