Sanya, host city of the Second Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF), launched a special conference to promote excellent film shooting locations in the world on Dec 2.
The International Excellent Film Shooting Locations Promotion Conference is a key part of the second HIIFF, marking the first of its kind in China that focuses on "culture plus tourism" publicity at a film festival.

A wide range of tourism attractions were highlighted at the conference, including those in Wanning and Sanya of Hainan province, Luanzhou in Hebei province, as well as Chongqing.
The promotion conference will last for four days, during which an international film, cultural, and tourism cooperation alliance will be launched to introduce rich scenic area resources with artistic creation value to the film and television industry and the public, as well as enhance mutually beneficial cooperation and development between the tourism and film industries.
