Haikou is slated to host the 2019 China (Hainan) International Tropical Agricultural Products Winter Trade Fair from Dec 12 to 16, with various economic and trade events being launched to boost the construction of the Hainan Pilot Free Trade Zone (Port).
A total of 34 exhibition areas will be set up, including 30 indoor ones and four outdoor ones, covering a total area of 80,000 square meters.
The main exhibition areas include the national pavilions of Belt and Road countries, the International Agricultural Products Brands Pavilion, the Agricultural Industry Poverty Alleviation Exhibition Hall, the Chinese Agricultural Brands Pavilion, the Agricultural Equipment Exhibition Area, and the Gourmet Street.
To date, the investment and exhibition promotion work has been fully completed, according to officials, adding that companies from both China and abroad have a strong willingness to participate in the fair.
The organizing committee has sent invitations to guests from 19 countries, as well as major wholesale markets and agricultural associations and business groups in China, with over 3,000 guests having already confirmed their attendance.
