Over 300 cooperation agreements were reached at the 2019 MICE Hainan Travel Trade Fair held in Haikou on Nov 23, which is expected to bring over 10,000 inbound visitors to Hainan next year.

Refering to meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions, the MICE industry has become a strong driver for Hainan's local tourism development, as more companies have chosen the tropical island as a destination for these events due to its governmental support, natural charm, as well as high-profile international events.

More than 110 overseas buyers from 35 countries, including the US, Canada, Russia, Italy, and the Netherlands, as well as 126 buyers from China were offered match-making opportunities with 181 companies from Hainan during the fair.

From Nov 24 to 25, the buyers embarked on visits to the Hainan cities of Haikou, Boao, and Sanya to have on-the-spot inspections of local MICE industries and explore business opportunities.
