Qionghai medical tourism zone spotlighted in Hangzhou

Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone, a future world-class destination for international medical tourism and an innovation platform for medical science and technology, garnered great attention at the 3rd World Life Sciences and Technology Conference.

Hosted in Hangzhou from Nov 15 to 17, the 3rd World Life Sciences and Technology Conference was attended by more than 1,200 elites from the medical, scientific, and industrial sectors at home and abroad.

At the conference, the Qionghai-based pilot zone showcased its four advantages, namely, a special medical zone with a package of favorable policies, the establishment and operation of Boao Super Hospital, the first performance of 16 medical surgeries in China, as well as the clinical application of real-world data.

The Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone also revealed its future plans at the conference. It will be dedicated to introducing more innovative medical devices worldwide, establishing a traceable platform for licensed medical devices to ensure the safety of medication data, increasing the speed of examination and approval to ensure patients' timely use of new medicine, inviting more expert teams to settle in the zone, as well as accelerating the construction of medical education and research exchange bases and public hospitals.
