Eleven new plant species domestic to China's island province of Hainan have been found, according to the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences (CATAS) on Nov 14.
Liu Guodao, researcher and leading botanist of the plant taxonomy research team, said that since 1993, 11 new species in China and 85 new in Hainan have been discovered. The newly found 11 species cover tropical pastures, tropical spices, medicinal herbs, and tropical flowers.
