Today, an increasing number of tourists in Sanya, a popular tourist city in South China's Hainan province, are choosing to go out to sea on boat rides rather than relax by the seaside while on vacation.
During the National Day holiday, numerous tourists to the city took rides on yachts and sailboats.
According to statistics released by the Sanya government, over 40,000 sailboat and yacht trips were made in 2017 by over 430,000 visitors, and in 2018, these figures exceeded 60,000 and 540,000, respectively. From January to July this year, the city saw 60,000 yachts and sailboats heading out to sea with over 570,000 people on board.
