A special exhibition with videos, photos, and intangible cultural heritages showcasing Hainan's development achievements was set up in Beijing on Sept 16.
The exhibition was organized by Hainan as the State Council Information Office held a special press conference about the island province to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the PRC.

"The dominant hues for the exhibition are the orange color of sunlight and beaches of Hainan, and the iconic green color of Hainan's natural ecological resources. The brocade patterns of the Li ethnic group used in the exhibition boards symbolize the promising future of Hainan and highlights the province's great achievements in the past 70 years," according to a person-in-charge of Hainan Images Agency.
At the main exhibition hall, a blueprint of Hainan's five networks of roads, information infrastructure, electricity, water, and natural gas was put on display. The left and right sides of the blueprint featured the planning maps for two iconic projects launched since Hainan started the construction of the Hainan Pilot Free Trade Zone - the Sanya Headquarters Economy and Central Business District and Haikou Jiangdong New District.
The tea break zone was a highlight of the exhibition, with local Hainan delicacies like tropical fruits, Xinglong coffee, and Wuzhishan black tea offered. In addition, attendees were also treated to live shows of intangible cultural heritages of Hainan, including coconut carving and brocade of the Li ethnic group.
