Hainan Binglanggu (Areca Nut Valley) Li and Miao Cultural Heritage Park, a national 5A tourism attraction, has treated experts and scholars from across the world with distinctive ethnic cultures as they gathered in Sanya for the World Laureates Sanya Forum.
The cultural exhibition was held on Aug 22 at Sheraton Sanya Haitang Bay Resort, the venue for the opening ceremony of the forum.

Under the theme of "Smart Ocean and Future Agriculture", the two-day forum attracted some 750 participants, including 12 Nobel laureates and winners of the Turing Award, the Fields Medal, the Lasker Award, and the Wolf Prize, as well as 28 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
At the event, many foreign experts and scholars were entranced by the performances of "鼻萧(nose xiao)," a bamboo flute played with nose by the Li ethnic group from Hainan, as well as national intangible cultural heritages, such as brocade of the Li ethnic group and the rattan plaited articles.
On Aug 23, several experts and scholars were also invited to visit Hainan Binglanggu Li and Miao Cultural Heritage Park where they were briefed on the intangible cultural heritage protection of the park and the display of brocade techniques.
