The 2019 FCBEscola Football Training Camp, held by the FCBEscola Soccer School Haikou, wrapped up in Haikou on Aug 15 with 134 young footballers from across China enjoying special trainings through the event.

The five-day camp opened free-of-charge to the public, with coaches from FC Barcelona invited to instruct the campers in trainings.

La Masia systems were introduced to train the campers, and Chinese youngsters can learn the genuine youth training of FC Barcelona, experiencing the club's values, which will give positive guidance for children, according to a coach from FC Barcelona.

"Through trainings, I know my position and role in the game, as well as learn to make decisions according to the actual situation in the game. I will become a football player like Messi when I grow up," said 12-year-old Ma Chaoyang.

The Haikou soccer school was jointly established by Chinas sports and leisure industry pioneer Mission Hills Group and FC Barcelona in 2017. Over 6,500 students have joined into its programs since its inception.

The cooperation with FC Barcelona will surely inject advanced football ideas into China's youth football trainings and make a contribution to China's football development, said Liu Rui, director of the football sport development department of Mission Hills Group.
