The 2019 China Sanya First Ballroom & Latin Dance Asia-Pacific Open was held in Sanya Sports Center on Aug 7, with over 2,800 competitors from 13 countries and regions participating and showing off their dance moves.
The competition consisted of various events targeting professional dancers, dancers from professional institutes, and youth elite dancers aged 8 to 14. Prizes of varying amounts of money were awarded to winners of the events.
The event has attracted a number of excellent dancers from home and abroad, deepening their understanding of the city of Sanya and its charming tropical landscape. In addition, it enhances the integration of sports tourism and sports culture, said Lin Fangqi, the organizer of the event.
