Hainan soprano wins gold at Japan intl arts festival

The Japan Osaka Kobe International Arts Festival wrapped up in Kobe on Aug 7 and a Hainan-based soprano Fang Lige won a "special gold medal" in the vocal music competition at the event. 

Fang comes from Wenchang, Hainan and graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2016. She was a gold medal winner of the First China Musical Singing Competition in 2015 and received a "special gold medal" at the Asia Musical Singing Competition held in the same year.

The Japan Osaka Kobe International Arts Festival included an opening concert, a piano competition, a national musical instrument competition, an orchestral competition, a vocal singing competition, a dance competition, and an awarding concert. Its participants include those from Japan, China, Singapore, South Korea, as well as other countries and regions.
