During the conference, special promotions around the theme of "Sunshine Hainan, Holiday Paradise" were held, focusing on Hainan's 10 major tourism products, tax-free island tourism, and wedding tourism, which showcased Hainan's unique tourism and cultural resources in an comprehensive manner. Two interactive activities were also organized to impress the guests and help them learn more about Hainan's tourism offerings.

The promotion conference also introduced 33 curated tourist routes for summer travel in Hainan, such as coastal vacation tours, adventure tours, tropical rain forest tours, pastoral leisure tours, and hot spring recreation tours.

In addition, Hainan's tourism image was displayed through publicity materials, promotional videos, as well as performances featuring the unique songs and dances of the Li and Miao ethnic groups. The guests were treated to both the warm hospitality of Hainan locals and to Hainan's cultural heritages.

Officials from Hainan's tourism and culture department said that Hainan has been vigorously promoting the opening-up of its tourism industry, actively cultivating new tourist spots, as well as improving the industry's service quality to meet an international level. "Hainan Day" was one of the province's summer tourism promotion activities for the year and was expected to lay a foundation for the 2019-2020 Hainan International Tourism Consumption Year.
