Since the launch of the 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition in April, more than 30 entries from Hainan flower companies have won awards during two competitions, according to He Yongsui, a person-in-charge of the Hainan exhibition area at the expo, which runs until Oct 7.

Among the prize winning entries, six pocketed special awards and more than 10 won gold medals, he added.
The Hainan exhibition area is situated on the second floor of the China Pavilion and the area is built in the shape of boathouse of the Li ethnic group with distinctive Hainan features.
