To ignite the enthusiasm of visitors, the Hainan booth also carried out a series of interactive activities such as a painting contest of BoBoYeah (a mascot for Hainan tourism), sharing pictures on social media platforms, trying out Hainan delicacies, as well as quizzes, which all vividly increased Hainan's image among Taiwan residents and promoted the province's tourism culture.
In addition, versatile performers showcased the diverse and inclusive Chinese culture, positive Chinese spirit, as well as Hainan's long history through folk music concerts, dances, classical dances, songs, and other shows.

In the first half of 2019, Hainan hosted more than 113,000 overnight visitors from Taiwan, a year-on-year increase of 20.3 percent. At present, the province has opened four direct flights to Taiwan, connecting the province's capital Haikou to Taipei and Kaohsiung, as well as Sanya to Taipei and Taichung. The Sanya-Kaohsiung and Sanya-Taipei routes are expected to open later this year.
Hainan province's culture and tourism department will strengthen efforts in its tourism promotion in Taiwan, covering various platforms such as campaigns online, on television, and in newspapers to further enhance the reputation of Hainan tourism, as well as expand its tourism market in Taiwan.
